The story line is that two kids, Kendra
and Seth, go to their grandparents' house and figure out it is a preserve for magical creatures.
There are also plenty of amazing creatures,
such as dragons, giants, trolls, and other mystical
beings. And at the end of the book, there is
a pretty dramatic fight scene between the creatures
of light and darkness.
